In person appointments are available. Meeting at the office in Holywood we adhere to government restrictions and guidance. Masks are worn on entering and exiting the therapy room and we will be seated at a 2m distance.

Welcome to Room Psychotherapy
Specifically qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), We offer CBT in Holywood, County Down, BT18 and also counselling appointments for CBT online through Zoom. We can offer weekday and weekend appointments and assessment sessions are usually available at short notice. We offer individual therapy options and couples counselling (CBCT).
CBT is a form of talking therapy that has been empirically proven to work effectively with symptoms of Anxiety and Depression. It is goal orientated, collaborative and focused on helping you with the issues faced in the present. CBT teaches skills that challenge your thoughts and behaviours to find more realistic, helpful alternatives. Longer term work helps you understand your perspective on yourself, others and the world; and therapy can be undertaken as a preventative measure to maintain wellbeing.
CBT is the NICE guidelines choice treatment for Depression (mild to moderate) and anxiety disorders. Critically, all interventions are informed by the research.
Room Psychotherapy has developed to offer a team of therapists that are all passionate about CBT, mental health awareness, breaking the barriers of mental health stigma, breeding positive attitudes and motivating healthy change. We are also trained in other modalities and look to utilise this knowledge to work collaboratively with you to find what works and what helps.
